Code knowledge, must read blue prints. Must be
experienced with SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and SAW. Write and
qualify weld procedure, inspect daily process welds of
employee's assuring they are producing quality welds and
following weld procedures. Audit consumables, record
rod check-out, fit up and lay out checks., daily NDE
list. Will study customer specification and determine
proper weld procedures and create weld map. Responsible
for annual weld budget. Performs minor repairs on
welding equipment. Manages welders. Monitors and
maintains x-ray repair rate of less than 97% monthly. |
